Lynn Darling instantly connected with the message of Bioneers when she learned about the annual conference in 2002. She was primed for taking action to support Mother Earth after a long lifetime of seeing the dramatic ways people have interacted with the planet. Over the years, she has made over $500 in contributions to Bioneers and is now a monthly donor.
I’ve watched desecration of the Earth for eighty years
My childhood started in the early 30’s and I felt helpless as I watched the horrid dust storms. They sounded like a very loud rolling thunder! Recovery was slow. After WWII the U.S. Soil Conservation Service was started. As time went by, I continued to see and experience human contamination of the Earth. Rather than learning from nature, I watched the Earth being used up, burned up, plowed under, and built up in ways that were not sustainable.
The Bioneers conference gives me hope for the next generation
I first learned about the Bioneers conference in California in 2002 and knew I had to go! My experience at the conference was like being in heaven because it gave me life-saving direction. I worried that the conference was not going to be enough, soon enough, to prevent humanity from destroying the planet so I asked myself what else I could do.
I copied the information I had received at the conference and sent it to the President, congressmen, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and others. I started a savings account to add spare money to help the next generation attend the Bioneers Conference. Some have gone on to bloom and spread the Bioneers message.
I am very proud to say we have an active, growing, and dynamic Bioneers program in Lincoln and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a Beaming Bioneers partner.
I am running out of time on this planet and am eager and excited to move on to the next level. The human ego is out-of-control, population has to be addressed, and we need to control our production of garbage. We are not the most important form of life on the planet, and we need to learn to live harmoniously with the land.
Friends in the Bioneers community, dear Mother Earth and I thank you for awakening humankind to the fact that how we live is not acceptable! We have only a limited life of dedication to care for Earth as we know it. Become a partner with Mother Earth – not just a consumer.
