Hacking Democracy (previewed at Bioneers in 2005) nominated for Emmy

July 23, 2007

Hacking Democracy, first previewed at Bioneers 2005, has been nominated for a prestigious Emmy for outstanding investigative journalism. Filmed over three years it documents anomalies and irregularities with electronic voting systems that occurred during America's 2000 and 2004 elections, especially in Volusia County, Florida. The film investigates the flawed integrity of electronic voting machines and culminates dramatically in the on camera hacking of the in-use / working election system in Leon County, Florida.

Congratulations to Bioneers board member Earl Katz and his team for this accomplishment!
