Hello Bioneers forum,

I'm new to this forum, but I've got an idea and a need that might be worth pursuing.

I believe that to get greater environmental awarenss and activism on the part of the general public, the topic needs to be made more popular.  Johm Q. Public tends to do things if they are percieved to be going along with a good thing.  Every time there is a Hollywood picture about a given topic, there is a public response, small or great.  Movies with big name actors/public figures are very effective, for example, The Day After Tomorrow, The Eleventh Hour, An Inconvenient truth, Who Killed the Electric Car?, etc.  Books are also effective and this is where I come in.

I pose to the forum a few questions:

1.  Can a novel, that might become popular, help generate public interest in important environmental issues and therefore motivate people to greater action? 

2.  If so, might Bioneers endorse such a novel?

If the answer to the above is yes, then consider this. I have written a novel that predicts some changes to our environment and society that may occur within the next few decades.  It is a warning about our environment woven within a story that includes all the elements of interest, ie. technology, romance, intrigue, action, etc. but it also has some solid concepts of how mankind will have to deal with a world that will be dangerously polluted.

I am open to discussion and welcome ideas from other participants in Bioneers.
