Bioneers Youth Fellowship

Bioneers comprises a community of visionary leadership – a network of influencers across numerous diverse disciplines, cultures and walks of life. Bioneers is known for identifying visionary strategies for healing the planet and advancing transformative solutions. Our growing media reach via radio, social media, Bioneers VOD, Link TV, Free Speech TV, and podcasts has a potential annual audience of 30+ million. The Bioneers Youth Activism Communications Fellowship supports an activist who is looking to work in a mission-based organization, advance their communication and media skills, and elevate their voice and the issues they are passionate about. The ideal candidate will have: 

  • At least one year of activity and experience in the youth activist space of social justice or environmental or climate issues.
  • Experience with producing different types of media for social media platforms.
  • Communication, organization and project management skills.

This is a non-exempt part-time temporary 6-month position working 15 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is $28.00 per hour. 

Essential Functions:

  • Be paired with experienced media mentors from the Bioneers communications team.
    • Help design youth leadership media components.
    • Work directly with the Bioneers team to produce original media that will be published on Bioneers media platforms.
    • Interact with young activist leaders and help tell their stories.
    • Have the opportunity to help design the Fellowship, around their goals.
    • Elevate their voice and the issues they are passionate about.

Reporting:

This position reports to the RFS and Youth Education Leadership Program Director.

This is a non-exempt part-time 6 month position working approximately 15 hours per week. This position has the ability to work remotely. Bioneers has offices in San Francisco, CA and Santa Fe, NM.
This position may require evening and weekend work during the organization’s annual conference, and occasionally throughout the year. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
