Bioneers Conference Opens Application for Press Passes

San Francisco, CA – 06/13/2017

Bioneers, an educational nonprofit organization that highlights breakthrough solutions for restoring the planet, has announced that applications for press passes to its annual conference are now open. The Bioneers Conference is a source of many inspiring stories and offers a unique opportunity to connect with speakers and presenters who are working on projects and ideas to fix some of the world’s most pressing issues.

Keynote speakers at the 2017 Bioneers Conference include Host and Executive Director of Democracy Now!, journalist Amy Goodman, The Safina Center President Carl Safina, science fiction writer and leading open Internet activist Cory Doctorow, Co-Director of ROC-United Saru Jayaraman, Indigenous Environmental Network’s Lead Organizer Kandi Mossett, and many more.

“Back in 2007, Leonardo DiCaprio did his first climate change documentary and almost every single one of the experts in the film – 72 of them – were sourced from Bioneers. Needles to say, without their incredible expertise at finding the best, most humble, biggest changemakers on the planet we would not have found all those folks.” Justin Winters – Executive Director, Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation

More information on how to apply for press passes can be found at http://conference.bioneers.org/press/.

Bioneers will also be offering panel discussions and workshops on Youth Activation, Restorative Food, Social Justice, Women’s Leadership, and Indigenous Knowledge as well as free activities throughout the weekend. In addition, the conference will host the $100,000 Ray of Hope Prize which will be granted to the most innovative solution of the Biomimicry Global Design Challenge.

The Bioneers conference will take place on October 20-22, at the Marin Center in San Rafael, California.
