Justice

Social justice carries a long history of dynamic, vibrant movements carrying on the long struggle for human rights and dignity. Activist groups continue to emerge with savvy and effective campaigns that target deep-seated issues in civil society. Their strides toward progressive change are built on demands for “another world” — one based on racial justice, universal human rights, fairness, genuine grassroots democracy and beyond.
Western culture emphasizes our separation from ourselves, the other, and the Earth, but in reality, we’re deeply connected to each other. According to john a. powell, we now need to look deeply at ourselves and our social structures to overcome these separations and rediscover our fundamental connection to each other and the entire web of life.
