Naka-Ima
"Inside of Now"
Living In the Present Through the Practice of  Honesty
May 30 - June 1, 2008
The Haven, Occidental,  Ca.

Naka-Ima is Japanese for “Inside of Now”, a phrase that holds the polarity of expansion and contraction within the unity. During the three-day Naka-Ima intensive it is the focus of the facilitators and assistants to help move the students towards unity consciousness, or nonduality. The practices taught at Naka-Ima are rooted in the belief that in shifting our consciousness, we shift the consciousness of the world. By becoming more of our true selves, we free up energy that was contracted in falsehoods, and can then consciously participate in the evolution of our planet. This work benefits the individual, the community, and the greater global family through developing skills in communication, honesty, personal integrity, and making deeper connections.

At Naka-Ima we focus on:

The practice of deep honesty

Recognizing our limiting attachments

Letting go of attachments, thereby freeing our authentic selves

Living in the present moment

Consciously moving towards our most alive visions of ourselves

Discovering truth is not a matter of working to understand the world. It’s a matter of dissolving the barriers that we have to perceiving it as it really is. It is a matter of   recognizing and dropping the filters through which we perceive. So the first step is recognition. This recognition comes through living with the questions, “how am I now?” “what am I feeling?” “what are my assumptions and beliefs?” “what am I wanting or not wanting in this moment?”
