This is the first in a series of actions across the country and in New Mexico led by
1Sky and Interfaith Power and Light. Each action invites people to express their
deepest values in a declaration of support for solutions to Global Warming.
Why now?
Global warming is a moral and ethical imperative of our time. We can stop global
warming, we have solutions but lack the political will and leadership. It is time to
act with a sense of urgency and to show community leaders that citizens want
change, we want bold, creative, and courageous leadership to stop global warming.
What will happen with the drawing?
The drawings from across the state will be collected and become part of an art
display that will travel throughout New Mexico to churches, schools, and other
events to inspire, educate and take action to stop global warming.
What do I need to do?
1. Draw the outline of your hand on the back of this sheet of paper.
2. Draw the outline of the hand of a child you love or one that you do not know
within your hand outline (the child can be from anywhere)
3. Write your names and, if you feel moved add a short message of care.
4. Fill out the information listed including name, address, phone, email.
5. Mail to: 1SKY New Mexico, 1522 Cerro Gordo Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87501
6. Invite 5 people to do the same.
7. Do this by April 21.
