BIOcultivator – Biomimicry Design Challenge | Ray of Hope Prize Finalist

Team B4D in Zvolen, Slovakia discusses the “BIOcultivator” – a project finalist in the Biomimicry Global Design Challenge. The BIOcultivator is a self-sustaining system to help city-dwellers grow their own organic food, right on their balconies. It was designed inspired by the ability of some lizard species living in arid areas to collect water and moisture with their skin.

Team B4D is one of the seven finalists for the $100,000 Ray C. Anderson Prize, to be awarded at the 2016 Bioneers Conference.
