Ovink served as a Senior Advisor to the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force and is the Principal for Rebuild by Design while serving as the first ever Special Envoy for International Water Affairs for the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Henk Ovink shares his vision of how we must change our entire culture to put water back into the center of our hearts and minds if we are to cope effectively with climate change, water crises, biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse, extreme weather events, and myriad environmental, economic, and sociopolitical crises. He illustrates how new approaches to design and politics are at the heart of a more resilient future.
